Our Thoughts
Over the past 16 years, we have made an impact on the lives of countless children and their families, in the US and abroad, through our advocacy and cord blood collection program at Christiana Health Care and Saint Francis Hospitals. Our collected efforts resulted in thousands of cord blood units being collected and stored.
It is with mixed emotions that we have decided to close the official non-profit, that is The Brady Kohn Foundation. We believe that we have reached goals that will take our vision and our mission into the future, without the need of a formal foundation.
Over the years, hundreds of volunteers and donors have helped us in our efforts to educate the public, raise funds and execute special events, to further our mission. We could not have achieved the success we have had without their tireless efforts and commitment to saving lives. Thank you!
We want to especially thank the members of our board, for their leadership, vision and passion in this life-saving endeavor: Martie Sturtevant, Laura Ellis, M.D., Rob Jorgensen and our first President of the Foundation, Gary DeVicci. Each of you have made a tremendous impact and we are so very grateful….thank you!
We want to especially thank the thousands of Moms and Dads, who generously and compassionately chose to Give Life. Twice. , by donating their newborns cord blood. We know that the units that were selected for actual transplant made a tremendous impact on those children and families. We are excited and hopeful that one day the thousands of units currently in storage, will also be used to save lives.
This coming year, Brady would have celebrated his 20th birthday. We are proud of the legacy that so many of you have helped us create in his honor. We know in our hearts how proud he would be in all that we accomplished together.
With sincere gratitude-
Kendall Massett, President
